We're based in Manchester, NH and being on-site full time is a must. Team members are responsible for presales and postsales support of our enterprise DNS products and services in a 24x7 on-call environment. Duties include everything from assisting with the sales process from a technical perspective, to providing support during initial customer implementation, to providing post-sales technical support. The ideal candidate should feel comfortable communicating with customers via e-mail and telephone, reducing complex technical problems to simple solutions, and should have a working understanding of the Internet at large. Candidates should be comfortable working in a loosely defined team environment and have strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. Dyn, Inc. does not maintain a typical call-center environment: it is laid back and most correspondence comes in via email. Frequent opportunities for personal development will manifest themselves as side projects in operations, system administration, or software development tasks. |

| Description | Dyn Inc. provides easy to use and extremely reliable DNS, email and domain registration services for enterprises, domain name registries, small businesses and home users through it's DynDNS.com and Dynect brands. We're based in Manchester, NH and being on-site full time is a must. Team members are responsible for for the uptime and availability of all Dyn Inc. systems, including DynDNS.com and the Dynect Managed External DNS Platform. Duties include participating in the 24x7 on-call rotation, providing internal 3rd tier support to our customer service technicians, developing software and scripts to automate and streamline processes, and helping to design a next generation DNS delivery infrastructure. The ideal candidate should feel comfortable working in a production datacenter environment where uptime is a requirement, fluent in system administration and software development practices, and have a working knowledge of core Internet protocols, such as HTTP, DNS, BGP, and SMTP. Frequent collaboration with other team members is not only encouraged, but expected and the ability to mentor is required. |
